Winter is here! As you can tell it's finally snowing and yes, I am very cold without my winter jacket.

I got this Yeezus t-shirt three years ago when I went to Bonnaroo and saw Kanye live. Even though the concert was a huge disappointment (Kanye came on late and ranted about the media for most of the time) I have worn this t-shirt a lot since. It is the perfect top for class and adds a little extra edge that a plain t-shirt can't. You can get a similar Kanye West concert t-shirt here.

My denim jacket is vintage (or stolen??) and was my mom's in the 90s. I found it in my basement and secretly packed it in my bag when I went back to school last semester, I'm definitely getting a lot more use out of it than my mom would! It is Calvin Klein and is the perfect over-sized denim option. Since it is vintage, I've linked a similar one here.

To finish off this look, I added a black belt with a large silver buckle from Urban Outfitters and silver rings. Sometimes it's nice to switch it up from my normal gold jewelry!

There's a lot more to come this week so check back soon!

My semester is officially in full swing and though morning classes are never easy, there's still a way to look cute and feel comfortable for a day full of lectures.

I can't believe that it's 40° in the middle of January and I haven't yet lugged my parka to class with me — I'm trying to enjoy this for as long as I can. The sweater I'm wearing here is from Target and is so cozy and thick, it's perfect for this "winter" weather. Turtlenecks are all the rage right now and this sweater fulfills that trends and adds a little extra with the pattern at the top. I don't normally wear patterned items but this sweater, with it's neutral colors, still goes well with my every day style. It's the perfect casual sweater for class or weekend activities.

I used to be a huge leggings advocate when it came to dressing comfortably for class, but as I've gotten older, I've found that a good pair of jeans can be even more comfortable. Jeans are actually one of the few things I splurge on and the pair I'm wearing here is one of my all-time favorite purchases. These are Joe's Jeans and they are seriously so soft I could wear them all day. I've had them for about a year and they have withstood the daily wear and tear well, I highly recommend!

The booties I wore to finish off this look are by far my most worn item in my closet. They are Vince Camuto but since they are from two seasons ago I can no longer find them online, but I found a similar pair here. No matter the style, a good pair of black booties can go a long way, so invest in some now! They work for all seasons, rain or shine.

More to come soon so check back next week for my latest look!

During these cold winter months, style gurus around the world demonstrate how to do the layered look by somehow managing to not look like a snowball in layers of sweaters and jackets paired with precision. But this winter I'm focused on a different layering trend — necklaces.

We've seen all the big celebs do it — from Kendall Jenner to Madison Beer to Hailey Baldwin — it seems everyone this season is obsessed with stacking chokers and longer necklaces for the perfectly uncluttered layered look, and naturally, so am I. As you may know, I'm big on gold jewelry, so I have tons of different necklaces to choose from for my layered look. I found the key to making it look the most high-end, even if you're ballin' on a budget like me, is to make sure the metals are all similar in color. Gold necklaces, especially when they are cheap, can fade and adjust their hue, so watch carefully that the ones you pick are as similar in color as possible.

The top choker in this picture is this one from Urban Outfitters. I know, you're probably getting sick of hearing that all my necklaces are from Urban, but it's just so convenient. The second choker is actually part of the following two chains too, so it was made for layering. I got it from Nordstrom Rack for super cheap, grab it while you can! And where is the third necklace from? I'm sure you've guessed it — Urban.

Forget layering your clothing this winter and focus on layering your jewelry to really make your outfit look complete and on-trend.

It's been months and months but I'm finally back and better than ever! Thank you so much to The Sunday Studio for this amazing new blog theme. When I first began this blog I spent HOURS messing around with the template and HTML codes to try to get it to look exactly how I wanted but it just wasn't working for me. So, as any lazy college girl does, I essentially gave up on this blog. Normally I'm not the type to give up and it was eating away at me that I had put so much time and effort into this blog but was pushing it to the side. Thankfully, I came across The Sunday Studio on Etsy and here we are!

These last few months have been crazy. As a senior in college, I feel like I'm drowning in not only classes and clubs but job applications. To top it all off, my friend who I had shared this blog with decided she no longer had the time, so I am now taking this on all on my own! But in all that haste, I haven't neglected my personal style (or at least not too much). My latest and greatest purchase was these Steve Madden Jaque booties in burgundy. Amazingly, they are on sale now for under $100 so grab them while you can!

As all of you know, my closet is full of black. I currently have four pairs of black booties and four pairs of black jeans. Sound unnecessary? It probably is. But lately, I've been spicing up my all black looks with lots of layered gold necklaces (yes, this means chokers). I'm currently obsessing over this Urban Outfitters necklace. I normally am into super simple gold chains, but I love all the charms on this one. It's fun, isn't it??

I'm incredibly excited to be back and I'm looking forward to what's to come. As one of my many New Years resolutions, I plan to update this blog every week, so stay tuned!
