My Opinion On All-Black Looks

For those of you who have been following me for the last year and half, this post may come as a surprise to you. For a lot of my life (and my first few months *officially* blogging), I often veered towards an all-black outfit – it's classic, chic and, most importantly, easy to put together.  However, as I get more involved in the fashion world and continue to explore my personal style, I've found that a black-fit is an easy cop-out. Hear me out.

Like I said, I've always rocked the all-black look. It's the easiest thing to put on when I roll out of bed in the morning and still guarantees I look semi put together. But when you think about it, what's unique about it? How does it truly express your personal style? When people ask how I would describe my style I always say "edgy," and growing up, that meant all black. But now, with age, I've found their are different ways to convey this aesthetic. Yes, it even includes occasionally wearing pink.

I get it – getting dressed quickly every morning makes it hard to pull together a unique outfit. But I challenge you to switch it up every now and then and really convey who you are through your clothes. And yes, I'll still rock an occasional black-fit, but not nearly as often as I used to.
