four things about me 12.19

As we head into the new year, with the obvious goal in mind to grow this blog, I'm also hoping to open up about myself a bit more. I know one of my favorite parts of following other bloggers is feeling like I'm getting to know them – from who they are to how they got started in this crazy industry. While I'm still a very small account, it's never too soon to start opening up and letting those of you who are already following get to know me a little better. This is a series I hope to run monthly in 2018, along with another series on my monthly favorites (aka all the fashion and beauty options I'm loving). I hope you enjoy!

This month, we are going to start with the basics and we will work our way into more interesting topics as we move forward! Let's get into it:

  1. I'm 22 years old. I know, some of you are surely like "THIS is the great insight I'm going to get from these posts?!" I said I was starting with the basics! This is actually something that many people are surprised by in my every day life. I have such a baby face, it's always a shock when people hear I'm even above 18. I turn 23 on March 16, which is the same day Lauren Graham was born (aka Lorelai Gilmore).
  2. I was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois. Yes, this is the town where Northwestern University is and, more importantly, what "Mean Girls" is based on.
  3. I went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I graduated from UW in May 2017 with a double major in journalism and English literature. I've never been one to have a lot of school spirit, but I loved my time in Madison so much, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Are there any Badgers reading this? Let me know in the comments!
  4. I'm only 5-foot-3. You may be saying "booooorrrinng" but this is important for my reviews of items! I am really short, and this makes shopping for items like jeans especially difficult. I always have to get my pants hemmed and it's often hard to find ones that fit my smaller frame. Thankfully, brands like Levi's offer jeans in multiple different lengths which makes my life so much easier!
I know, kind of boring, but we will work our way into more interesting topics as we move forward! If there's anything you want to know, please ask in the comments here, on Instagram or via email. I'm happy to answer just about anything (within reason)!
