Top Eight // May 2018 Favorites

Unlike other months, I had a hard time finding eight things I loved this time. Weirdly, I've been online shopping nonstop, but have seen literally nothing I really like! Is this happening to anyone else right now? Whenever summer rolls around, I'm super eager to get new things as I always feel like I have no suitable clothes/beauty products for the warm weather, but this year nothing is jumping out at me. However, as always, I've pulled together my top eight items of the month, even though I'm not sure they will be staying in my life for weeks to come.

A Less Girly Take on a Floral Dress

If you've been following me for a while, you know that my style most definitely would not be described as "girly." With an aversion to anything pink and frilly, and a need to constantly incorporate black into every look (I swear, I'm trying to overcome this), I definitely veer towards a more edgy, classic style. So, when summer rolls around and floral dresses are in every major store, I sometimes struggle to make summer looks my own.

Mood Board: Blank Canvas

With Memorial Day behind us, it's time to pull all of your white clothes out of storage! While I'm pretty sure no one listens to the "no white after Labor Day" rule anymore, I personally wear white the most in the summer. It's clean, crisp, and like the title of this post, a blank canvas that you can add accessories to for a unique look.

Carbon Coco Review

Anyone who knows me knows that one of the things I'm most self conscious about is my teeth. As someone who constantly has a coffee in hand, my teeth have never been the porcelain white color you see in commercials. This is always something I become increasingly aware of when summer rolls around and my schedule is full of BBQs and days spent at the beach. I obviously want my teeth to look white for pictures, and Carbon Coco's products saved me just in time for the summer heat.

Last Minute Graduation Dress Guide

May means graduation season, and while you study for finals, check the last few things off your college bucket list and start packing your bags, sometimes preparation for graduation day falls through the cracks. When I graduated last year (you read that right, I really did graduate), graduation day always felt far away, like I had a lot of time to prepare. Though this was all wishful thinking and hopeless denial that it was coming time to be an "adult," I wish I had prepared in advance for my outfit on graduation day. If you're like me and left your graduation planning until last minute, let me help you pull together the perfect look just in time for the big day.
